Meet Nicole Burns
The Owner and Director Behind Super Kidz Club
Nicole Burns is the owner and director of Super Kidz Club and the person you will meet first on your tour. She is the main contact for family questions, and families tell us the close connection with Nicole, our assistant director and our teachers is a big reason they stay. Interested in working with us? Visit our careers page.
Super Kidz Club opened in June 2004 with about 15 families, and the children themselves chose the name. If your child has different learning or behavioral needs, Nicole is glad to talk it through with you on a tour.

2004
Fifteen Families and a Name
Super Kidz Club opened in June 2004 with about 15 families and one idea: children learn best when they can explore, create, question and discover. The kids themselves chose the name, and it stuck.
Today families know the director by name, children are respected as individuals and every family is welcome.
2020
Closed, Then Back for Essential Workers
When COVID-19 hit, we closed our doors, unsure what came next. About two months later we reopened for the essential workers of Concord who could not stay home. It was a hard season, and it showed us what this center means to the families who rely on it.
2022
Safety First as Life Returned
As normal activity returned, we renewed our safety measures. The close connections between families, teachers, our director and assistant director carried us through.
2024
Twenty Years in Concord
June 2024 marked twenty years of caring for Concord families. More than 2,000 families have trusted us with their children over those years, and the reason families stay has not changed: trust built with our teachers and close connections with our director and assistant director.
2026
A Renovation on the Horizon
A significant renovation of our yard and classrooms is planned for 2026. We are excited about what is ahead and will share updates with families as plans become real. In the meantime, the big fenced backyard is still one of the first things visiting families notice.
Today
One Center, Infants Through Age 12
Today Super Kidz Club is a licensed, Black-owned, woman-owned child care center serving infants through age 12, with infant care, preschool, before and after school care and a summer program under one roof.
We are Reggio-inspired and play-based, LGBTQ+ friendly, and proud to accept CoCoKids and CalWORKs so quality care reaches more Concord families.
We believe children learn best when they can explore, create, question and discover. Our Reggio-inspired, play-based approach pairs intentional guidance with child-led discovery to build confidence, creativity, independence and a lifelong love of learning.
We also believe every child deserves to be respected as an individual. Super Kidz Club is a diverse, welcoming, close-knit community. We have experience supporting children with different learning and behavioral needs, including children on the autism spectrum, and we are an LGBTQ+ friendly center and a transgender safe space. Tell us about your child on a tour so we can talk through what support may be possible.

Gender-neutral and wheelchair-accessible restrooms
The backyard is one of the first things touring families notice. Our large, fenced outdoor play area has play structures and separate spaces for different age groups, so infants, preschoolers and school-age kids each have room that fits them.
Indoors, classrooms are arranged for hands-on learning, play, sensory activities and movement. The center sits behind the church at 2140 Minert Rd, with no affiliation to it, and offers a free parking lot, a gender-neutral restroom and a wheelchair-accessible restroom on site.
